Fixing Band Gray
Plastic coated fixing bands are commonly used in a variety of applications where a secure and long-lasting fastening solution is required. Plastic coating helps to protect the underlying material from damage, corrosion, and other forms of wear and tear.
We apply thermoplastics (polyethylene powders) to the surface of metal band to provide long-term corrosion, impact and chemical resistance whilst offering an attractive smooth finish with good edge protection.
The thermoplastics are ideal for long term protection of the metal. It also prevents the corrosion between dissimilar metals. The powders we use, outlasts most traditional coating powders in terms of UV, salt-spray, pollution resistance, flexibility, resistance to sand abrasion and cold temperatures.
Most of our plastic coated bands are coated with LDPE (Low-density polyethylene) which withstand -20 Degree in cold, softening at 48 degrees °C and melting at 107 degrees °C.
Most common applications of plastic-coated fixing bands: plumbing and HVAC systems, electrical installations, construction and building projects, many other industrial applications
