PT4 Drain Degreaser Hercules

Description

PT4 Drain Degreaser Hercules is formulated to safely liquefy and disperse grease, soap scum, food residue, sludge and other waste build-up in all types of plastic or metal plumbing.

Technical Features

• A unique non-acid, non-caustic formulation, PT-4 is a single purpose degreaser formulated to dissolve FOG (fats, oils and grease) to improve flow, reduce odors and prevent corrosions caused by depots of fats, oils and grease.
• Pine scented PT-4 helps prevent blockages, before they happen and quickly deodorizes all parts of the drainage systems. It may be used as a degreaser during mechanical snaking however there must be flow through the line before treatment.
• Has a carry-through effect to sewers and septic systems. Greasy matter is kept in solution and prevented from redepositing and causing inside (crown) corrosion and the formation of sewer gases downstream.
• Does not contain any petroleum-based solvents, ozone depleting substances, greenhouse gases, or agents listed as marine pollutants.
• Regular use of this product will drains free flowing and clean.

Application & Uses 

• Use PT-4 to dissolve FOG (fats, oils and grease) to improve flow, reduce odors and prevent corrosions caused by deposits of fats, oils and grease.
• May be used as a degreaser during mechanical snaking.
• Can be used to clean lines to and from grease traps, clean main lines or soil stacks/vents of apartment buildings, condominiums and hotels or for commercial applications; control grease caking and fouling in clarifiers, lines and digesters and help maintain good percolation in aeration basins of municipal waste treatment plants.

Reccomended Dosage: 

BEFORE USE :   Do not use PT-4 on clogged drains. There must be some flow through the line before treatment. For slow drains/drain odor mix 2 ounces of product with 8 ounces (340mL) of hot water, or fill to lines on mixing jar. Add the solution to the drain nightly until flow is restored and odors are gone, typically one to three daily applications.  For best results, allow to work overnight or at least 2 hours before resuming drain use. 

FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE:

Use 1 ounce (30mL)  of PT4 mixed with 4 ounces (120mL)  of water weekly for each 2 household occupants. Treat a different drain each week.

LINE SNAKING:

1. Blend 1 part product with 4 parts warm water.
2. Begin using a mechanical snake while adding this solution to the line. The product’s emulsifying action helps keep grease and sludge from redisposition on pipe walls for faster more complete cleaning.
3. Flush out the line with hot water while still running the snake.
4. Begin a preventative maintenance program.

COMMERCIAL PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE:

Dispense product daily using 1 oz. for each inch of line diameter and 50 feet of drain line, or use 2 oz. (60mL) for every 100 meals served.

For best results add before the longest period of non-use. Flush with warm water the following day. When adding manually into sink traps, follow with 1 pint of warm water to flush the product past the trap.
